Essay 6: 2 Body Paragraphs :: 2008/07/22 12:31

Question 2

   First of all, children brought up in a big city have better education environment. Schools in a big city are usually mordernized and organized. So children can have better education targeted for them. In a countryside, for example, there can be a lack of teaching material or the number of student is too small to teach. In that case, children in a countryside have to listen to the lecture which is not for them because teachers have to teach students from different grades at the same time. Therefore, for better education, it is beneficial to live in a big city.

   Moreover, there are more opportunities to experience various things in a big city. As there are diverse facilities, children can build up many different experiences. For instance, there are performance centers for children to develope their sensitivities by watching shows, museums for them to broad their knowledge by watching exhibitions, banks for them to learn how the banking system runs by opening a savings account by themselves and so on. Like this, children in a big city have more chances to go through numerous experiences outside the school.

Question 3

   First, advertising weakens the sense of judgement rather than helping us. An advertising should not include any exaggeration and just convey things which are real truth. But to increase the sale, advertisers use exggertaions for their products. This leads to misjudgement of consumers and make them do an impulsive buying. In this case, an advertising plays a negative role to us by informing us the distorted information. So I cannot say that advertising helps us enhance our quality of life.

   Next, advertising often disturbs us in our lives. When you have a walk around your neighborhood, a noisy advertising on the road can disturb your jogging. Also, advertising papers between newspapers annoy us by giving us a troublesome work of seperating those papers. And when you are watching a television, you have to waste your time for watching advertisings which are unrelevant with the program you want to watch. These kind of advertisings kill our valuable time. Hence, an advertising is not helpful for our lives.
